Comenius Project European Civilisation - through the cultural, architectural and popular heritage

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

O1To raise awareness of the school's role in promoting interculturality, through teachers' and students' involvement in activities focussed on the discovery of the cultural, architectural and popular heritage of the three countries involved.

O2 To enrich the school's curricular and extra-curricular offer, as the topics approached in the project are varied: traditions and customs, cultural heritage, history, geography, arts, sciences, European citizenship.

O3 To diversify the didactical strategies by using or adapting trans-national methods in class.

O4To promote European values: democracy, human dignity, equality, freedom, solidarity, indiscrimination, identity and traditions (identity as defined by the local, national or European contexts).

O5Toinvolve students in designing and creating the end and middle products with a view to instilling competences, values and attitude, such as collaboration, team spirit, taking on responsibilities, problem solving, decision taking, self-confidence, interest in the well-made task, respect for national and European cultural heritage.

O6Using ITC and foreign languages as communication means, as well as modalities of understanding and assimilating other cultures.
